Jovanny Gonzalez ‘27 who is off to Spain to play soccer over Spring break playing in the MIC. The MICFootball (Mediterranean International

Cup) is a prestigious youth tournament that has featured many future superstars, including Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr, Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, and Lamine Yamal. Held annually in Spain, it acts as a showcase for elite academy talent from clubs like Barcelona, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.  

Roman Guzman ‘28, Xavier Leon ‘28, and Sebastian Ravelo ‘28 are in Mexico playing soccer.

The Daily Southtown ranked Providence Catholic #2 in their pre-season rankings.

The girls won the Roma Sports Club High School Girls Winter League.  Winter record of 6-2-0.

Team Taylormade represented the Soccer Program at the annual Alumni Trivia Night.  We did get the one soccer question correct, but fell down on the geography section. 

Members of the Boys and Girls Soccer teams, plus Coach Taylor, walked the runway at ths year's annual PCHS Womans Club Fashion Show held at the Odyssey Country Club.  This event is held by the Womans Club to raise money to support Providence Catholic High School and its students. The Aulmni Club sponsered an AFC/ NFC Championship watch party on 1/25/26 to benefit the Celtics Soccer program.  Coaches Taylor, Kovatch and Rodriguez joined Providence alumni, family and friends to watch two great games.

Over 45 junior high players (6-8th grade boys & girls) participated in a two day soccer clinic at Providence Catholic High School on Dec 29th-30th.  Coach Taylor and his staff, as well as current players, were on hand to conduct skills training.

Providence Catholic has created a report that will be delivered every Sunday to TikTok, Instagram and youtube.   Celics Soccer Talk will provide highlights, interviews and news about the Providence Catholic High School Soccer program and players.
